Pearl Gabel is a strategist, content creator, and storyteller. She has led creative communications for ground-breaking projects – from simple messaging and multimedia to multimillion-dollar campaigns. She launched Grit Strategies in August 2023 to help her clients drive social change and generate results.

Pearl began her career as a photojournalist, photographing everyone from the Obamas to the Trumps to Beyonce and covering events as varied as presidential campaigns; protests in Ferguson, Missouri, and NYC; breaking news in Istanbul; and education programs in Northern Uganda.

As Director of Video for the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York, she built a team of storytellers and pioneered a new way of government storytelling. As Digital Director for the State of New Jersey, she oversaw digital and social media, launching accounts (like NJGOV!) and growing millions of followers organically through bold, innovative content and strategy. As the Director of Brand Strategy at Kivvit, Pearl led complex campaigns for nonprofit, corporate, and issue advocacy clients from start to finish - researching, conceptualizing, writing, producing, and delivering results. She won several industry awards, including a New York Emmy for Best Public Service Ad and Best in Show for the Sabre Awards.
